TeacherKit Prototype
Searching the world of UX and UI design one prototype at a time. First up is the redesign of TeacherKit. This project combined my two passions, teaching, and designing. TeacherKit is an application designed for teachers to create a seating chart, record attendance, log behavior, and track grades. The idea of the application is great, however, the design of the app was a disaster. That is where I came in.

I came across this application in Apple’s App Store and thought it could use a makeover so that is what I did. I also wanted to add a feature to this app, which was an E-Z grader. I found an application called Groovy Grader and redesigned it to add it to this app redesign.
I started by reading through TeacherKit’s reviews in the app store and seeing what users were liking and disliking. After that, I started conducting some competitor analyses of other applications similar to that of TeacherKit.
Next, I started the user interview process, empathy maps, and personas, I had some teachers test out the application for a few days to give me some user feedback. I then started creating empathy maps and personas based on those interviews.
Then, I started working on the design of the application with visual research (color palette, typography, and images), sketches, wireframes, and design compositions.
Lastly, I created the final mobile prototype of TeacherKit with an addition of a watch prototype.
