eCard Animation

For this project, I wanted to create an animated e-card. I decided on doing an eCard due to its popularity in the digital age. While completing this design, I had my significant other in mind as it was around our anniversary and Valentine’s Day. I am very proud of the project and enjoyed creating each scene.

The first step in creating this animation was the topic. It was created around Valentine’s Day I thought a card for Valentine's Day would be a cool idea. Then came the writing, what I wanted the card to say, and the animation accompanying the words.

Once all the writing was complete, I started sketching where the words and graphics would go. I wanted each scene to be its own but also have a clean color palette. Due to it being a valentines day card, I went with reds, pinks, and black with an occasional pop of color.

Then came creating the graphics and starting the animation on After Effects. With patience, creativity, and a few tweaks, it became the perfect eCard that I ended up sharing with my significant other on Valentine’s Day.
